lend me your ears

still regurgitating shit from like, five months ago, but I'm charming, so none of you really mind. Tomorrow the semi-roommate comes in from Michigan, I'll try scaning stuff now so I don't have to go through the trouble of doing it when she's around.

sdkfnsdkfsdksd i want to be on stage with redlightgreenlight now D:

A while back, I wrote a general guideline for a four-part story I was going to bring to the LittleBigPlanet community. It was going alright, but then I got a girlfriend. Now that I am single, I've been writing again, and I've scrapped a lot of pretty good ideas for one that I feel I can translate while maintaining a sort of noir-esque individual approach to level making (LittleBigPlanet is a game that seems to be primarily designed for engineers, as it allows you to use technical tools in order to make levels and share them with the online community, a lot like the flash game on the internet Line Rider, an example can be seen here.
The story I wrote never made it through as I lost the original manuscript in a shuffle to catch a bus (but I'm worry-free, as my ideas are never all that interesting enough for other people to mooch off on. So I decided I'd just post a simple level to LBP, pretty straight forward, about a main character who gets tired of his or her (depending on what the person's Sackboy is) dull, consistent life and kills themselves, only to realize that death is actually a metropolis equally as dull save for the things he or she cares about, so they climb their way back to life, with a pretty interesting twist. Death is actually the same as life, he or she crashes out of a window through the ground, and ends up at Death, which is just Life, but upside down. blahblahblah, anyways, I posted the picture because in once scene, the main character is supposed to catch a bus, but right when they catch the bus, it speeds off, which was actually incredibly technical to design. what you can see from the image is a structure on wheels with a tower on it. This is the internal body of the vehicle which I'll have to make a shell for. On the structure, is a bug-looking thing, the motion sensing switch, it's connected to a green block on the tower, the green block is holding a key. Below the block is what the key has to make contact with. When a Sackboy approaches the vehicle, the motion sensing switch will send signals to the green block, instantaneously the green block with dissolve and the key will fall to the magnetic switch, making contact. The magnetic switch will trigger four rockets on the left side of the structure, and in doing so, the vehicle will zoom past our main character, leaving him to wallow and walk to work. I post this only because I spent a good time trying to figure this out, it was a little difficult to get the bus to continuously drive forth without the main character, but I did it. Ugh.

This is not my daily post, I just needed to nerd out. D:
the people on my block must really hate rlgl.
