Thursday

Less human, more being.

I can't be expected to entertain the three to five people that read this all the time.
I'm also not interested in your reasons for going to Tumblr. Pistachio for a Day is more personal than what Tumblr has to offer. You can now replace Tumblr with Why?, Vampire Weekend, 3G Networks, drugs, vectoring, Tumblr, maturity, Seaside Heights, and Bing. Alternatively, Poindexter by Childish Gambino is the best thing I've listened to in the past week. Second best is Get 'Em Tiger by Maino (link is optional).

Fresh, straight from fragmented free time during the day. Nothing exciting today.

I've been trying to pitch this idea to Alec for the past eight months for our collab film piece set to Treat Me Like Your Mother by The Dead Weather. This embodies my cinematographic mind, and all that isn't used by it. Ugh, forget illustration, I'm going full-fledged film major.

Monday

Today was a very good day.

I've received a crate full of muffins for breakfast tomorrow.
I was also on the radio (FM 89.1 WNYU) and won tickets to see Asobi Seksu later this week. I have an animation class early in the morning tomorrow, so I'm finding people to collab ideas with regarding the final later in the semester.

Tuesday

sleight of tongue

Confession time, I started this post less than five minutes of the last one, I'm just waiting for Photobucket to upload a bulk. I've inherited a scanner thanks to Ashley Rust. She recently started a blog making mixes with excellent music for public enjoyment. You can find said mixes (accompanied by nostalgia-based film stills on kittycatmix.

I lost the battle - Day 1

So, the default photo resizing program on my Mac just tacks on megabytes to all my images, making photobucket incredibly difficult to work with. All the more reason for me to get working on getting myself a copy of Illustrator.

I woke up to a terrible surprise today, which I made up for appropriately by purchasing a two-pound bag of twizzlers. WHO'S THE 20 YEAR OLD NOW, TIME?!

Monday

I'm not lazy, I just care.

I didn't mean to not post in the past two days. I actually have material from the past two days. Whether or not they're interesting is another story. I spent $140 on art shit, surprisingly less than what I expected to pay. More importantly, I bought myself a "squared notebook".

I also picked up Dermophoria, by Craig Clevenger. About an amnesiac who wakes up in a jail cell with a woman on top of him. Throughout the story he longs to tell apart the difference between what's a drug-induced hallucinogen, and what's reality. You Johnny Truant fanatics will flip your shit for it.

Friday

Lo and behold

So, I have class tomorrow, on a Saturday. Life doesn't get more dope than that. So I went to the DMV today, and as you may or may not be able to conclude, I've done no work. But I did find a picture of a ship I drew sometime last year. It was to go along with this children's story idea I had about a captain and his quest to sail a self-proclaimed ghostship into the seas of Pistachio Island. A year after writing this story, I watched my first episode of The Misadventures of Flapjack, noticed similarities, and have kept the whole story under wraps. Pistachio for a Day and Pistachio Island are siamese Vietcong brothers.
The picture though, failed in execution horribly.

Monday

Eight years later...

I got an email from my mom today, who recently discovered the drop-down address bar on Mozilla, and subsequently found everywhere I existed on the internet in the past year and a half: my old myspace, DA, Facebook, etc.
She's questioning how exactly I know people from the Russian Confederation, mainly people of adjectorial titles (i.e. Kasey Kalamity, Charlie Compassionate, LeBron James, you know the deal).
I'm glad I led such an eventful life thus far.

This scanner could not scan the bar code on a hooker, much less high quality images.

Sunday

Moleskinerie

The truth is, I'm all about this picture-a-day blog right now. Though I have no doubt that I'll be over this in about three days. Ironically, my semester begins in four days, which, believes me, warrants more time wasted in front of a computer screen. Don't get me wrong, none of which spent hours are devoted to education.

Don't mind the stains, acid-free moleskine paper isn't completely durable, and some copic bled right through from the other side. Not that a lack of stain would make it suck less though.
It's like, four though, and I lost a battle with somnolence. It's time to race the moon.
